Espresso Cup Kaolin White - Gien Pont Aux Choux

The design for Gien’s « Pont aux Choux » range was conceived many years ago and has since become established as one of Gien’s classic designs.

It refers to the Manufacture de Pont-aux-Choux, a former French manufacturer of fine earthenware and porcelain, founded in 1743 on Rue de Charenton in Paris and then moved in 1749 to Rue du Pont-aux-Choux. Rue Pont aux Choux (cabbage bridge street) bears this name in memory of marquet farmers who grew their vegetables.
