Papier Tigre began operations in Paris’s Marais district in 2012.

In 2024, it was acquired by Clairefontaine. The beautiful notebooks are now designed and manufactured along the Canal Saint-Martin at the Exacompta factory. Founded in 1928, this factory is the last major factory still in operation within the city limits of Paris.
